Support Notice
End of Support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1
Element14 will be removing support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 protocols on api.element14.com.
With support for TLS 1.1 coming to an end in April 2024, the continued use of TLS 1.0 and 1.1 poses a security risk, and Element14 is discontinuing support on api.element14.com for these protocols to ensure our API services are using industry standard security protocols.
What is changing?
Element14 is updating application security protocols and deprecating support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 on api.element14.com. This means any attempted connections while using software or services that only support TLS 1.0 and 1.1 will no longer be allowed. Only TLS 1.2 and higher are supported by Element14 on api.element14.com.
What is TLS?
Transport Layer Security (TLS) is a protocol that ensures privacy between communicating applications and their users on the Internet. When a server and client communicate, TLS ensures that no third-party may eavesdrop or tamper with any message. TLS is the successor to the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
